Halifax – It’s a people thing

Holtzbrinck is one of the world's largest publishing
groups, home to brands including
Macmillan, Springer Nature, and Die Zeit. As misinformation increasingly challenged public trust, the organisation needed
a brand that better reflected its purpose and influence.
We repositioned Holtzbrinck around its commitment
to knowledge, education, and truth, creating a unified identity that brought its diverse portfolio together under
a single vision. The result was a modern, future-facing brand that reflected both the scale of the organisation and its belief in the power of knowledge to create
positive change.

Role

With the FinTechs posing a threat, Halifax had to make a significant change to the brand, which resulted
in a new strategy and a major overhaul to its identity.

The brand identity was designed to be utilitarian
and streamlined, using bold colours, flatter graphics
and a distinct tone of voice. While drawing on its heritage of honesty and democracy, it now has the modern appeal to stand out in high-street
and digital spaces.
